This year marks the 10th anniversary of the initiative to jointly build the the Belt and Road and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Nanyin major in QNU. The Maritime Silk Road International Academic Conference on Nanyin was held at QNU from November 17 to 20. It was hosted by QNU and co-organized by Quanzhou Culture, Broadcasting and Tourism Bureau. Up to 90 experts and scholars from domestic and overseas universities and research institutions such as Metharath University, Center for Southeast Asian Chinese Studies, Chinese National Academy of Arts, and Taiwan Normal University gathered here to conduct academic discussions and exchanges on hot topics such as “the inheritance and development of the intangible cultural heritage of Nanyin” “the construction of the theoretical discourse system of Nanyin” “new models for teaching Nanyin in colleges, and serving national cultural development strategies.
